On April 21, 1906, U. E. Lippincott, one of the defendants, who was tax collector of the Borough of Sheraden, executed his official bond to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in. the sum of $112,000, upon which The Title Guaranty & Surety Company, plaintiff, became surety. On the same day Mr. Lippincott, as principal, and Franklin P. lams and Thomas C. Gabler, the other two defendants, as sureties, executed a certain counter bond to indemnify the plaintiff company in the sum of $25,000, against loss by reason of its undertaking as surety on the aforesaid…
