HIGGINS, Justice.

Manuel Bell, Jr., instituted a jactitation action against the Canal Bank & Trust Company, in Liquidation, which converted the suit into a petitory action by claiming the ownership of the property involved. The district judge held that the Bank had proved a superior title to the land and recognized and maintained its ownership. Bell appealed and the Court of Appeal of the First Circuit affirmed the judgment. 184 So. 382/ ' A lengthy and vigorous application for a rehearing was filed and the Court granted it.
