' John Bacha was convicted of obtaining money by false pretenses, and he appeals from the verdict and judgment, and from the order denying his motion for a new trial. The appellant was convicted of the crime of obtaining money by false pretenses. He appeals from the verdict and j udgment and from the order of the court denying his motion for a new trial. The statute which the appellant was convicted of violating provides:
