—In an action, inter alia, to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the plaintiffs appeal from so much of a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Milano, J.), *374dated September 23, 1996, as upon a jury verdict in favor of the defendants Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Long Island Railroad and against them on the issue of liability, dismissed the complaint.

Ordered that the judgment is reversed insofar as appealed from, on the law, with costs, and a new trial is granted to the plaintiffs against the defendants Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Long Island…
