On April 13, 1942, the board of council of the city of Murray, a city of the fourth class, passed an ordinance in conformity with Section 3480d-l et seq., of the Kentucky Statutes, for the purchase, through the Tennessee Valley Authority, of the electric distribution system in the city of the Kentucky-Tennessee Light & Power Company.
