OPINION
Cynthia Carpenter appeals from a judgment of the Hamilton Municipal Court which awarded Patricia Ingram $629.50 plus interest based upon the theories of breach of an oral contract and promissory estoppel.
On September 18, 1996, Patricia Ingram filed a complaint against Cynthia Carpenter for breach of an oral contract. On October 29, 1996, Ms. Carpenter filed an answer denying the allegations and setting forth defenses. A magistrate conducted a hearing on the matter on May 14, 1997.
