On July 24, 2015, following a jury trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Irizarry, C.J. ), Defendant-Appellant John Sampson ("Sampson") was convicted of one count of obstruction of justice, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1503 (a), and two counts of making false statements to federal agents, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001 (a)(2).
