Bruns, J.:

After pleading guilty to four counts of theft and one count of making a false information, Suzanne Hayden appeals her sentence. She argues on appeal that tire district court incorrectly *203found that it could retroactively apply K.S.A. 2011 Supp. 21-6817(b)(4). We find, however, that the 2011 amendments to K.S.A. 2010 Supp. 21-4718(b)(4) (the previous codification of K.S.A. 2011 Supp. 21-6817[b][4]) are procedural in nature. Accordingly, we conclude that the district court properly applied the amended statute retroactively.
