Westec Corporation (Westec) was formed in 1.964 through the merger of Western Equities Corporation (Western) and Geo-Space Corporation (Geo-Space). Western stock had been traded on the American Stock Exchange and Westec took over this listing. Following the merger the stock advanced- from about three dollars per share to more than sixty-five dollars per share.
