Patrick Ralph Sweet appeals his convictions for first degree rape, first degree burglary, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm. On January 9, 1984, this court affirmed Sweet's convictions. State v. Sweet, 36 Wn. App. 377, 675 P.2d 1236 (1984). Sweet's petition for discretionary review was granted by the Supreme Court, which remanded the case to this court for "reconsideration in light of" State v. Smith, 102 Wn.2d 449, 688 P.2d 146 (1984) and State v. Williams, 102 Wn.2d 733, 689 P.2d 1065 (1984). We therefore address only those issues raised by these decisions, namely, whether…
