FOURNET, Justice.

Plaintiffs, who are owners of property abutting on the first block of Texas Street in the City of Shreveport, filed ten separate suits against the Louisiana Highway Commission and the City of Shreveport, each seeking to recover from the defendants damages in solido for injuries to their respective properties as a result of the construction by the Commission, with the approval of the City, of a bridge and the approaches thereto, across Red River at the foot of Texas Street in Shreveport.
