Introduction

Steven Rothman (Steven) 1 signed an agreement with Martha’s Hands, LLC (Martha’s Hands) for provision of home health care services for his father, Ronald Rothman (Ronald). After Ronald’s death, Steven and his sister Robin Prywitch (Robin), paid two-thirds of the outstanding balance due Martha’s Hands for its services. Although one-third of the balance remained unpaid, Steven and Robin claimed this portion of the bill was the responsibility of their half-sister, Courtney Rothman (Courtney).
