I. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

This matter is before the court on the parties’ joint motion for dismissal (#49). Plaintiff April Marie Schultzen (“Schultzen”) originally filed this action against defendant Woodbury Central Community School District (“Woodbury Central”) on behalf of herself and a class of similarly situated plaintiffs, but she never sought to certify the class.
