After a jury trial, defendant, Michael Elzey, was found guilty of rape (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 11 — 1) and armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 18 — 2). Defendant was sentenced to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
