1. The exception to the overruling of the demurrer to the mortgage-foreclosure proceeding can not be considered, as there was no exception pendente lite, and the bill of exceptions was not certified within thirty days from the date of the judgment complained of.
2. A refusal to direct a verdict is never error.
3. The exceptions to the overruling of the demurrer and to the refusal of the court to direct a verdict for the defendant are the only exceptions argued in the brief of counsel for plaintiff in error, and therefore the other grounds of error are treated as abandoned. The general statement…
