Plaintiff was a passenger on one of defendant’s street railway cars in Kansas City and in attempting to alight therefrom fell and was injured. • She alleges she was injured by the negligence of defendant and this action is for the recovery of the damages sustained. The answer, in addition to a general denial, contains a plea of contributory negligence. Plaintiff recovered judgment in the sum of $500 and defendant appealed.
