FAHY, Senior Circuit Judge;

The District of Columbia Court of Appeals denied appellant’s petition for a writ of mandamus to compel the Juvenile Court to grant a hearing to determine if there was probable cause to hold appellant for trial for unauthorized use of a vehicle, an offense defined by D.C. Code § 22-2204.1 He had been arrested on November 2, 1969, at the age of 16 years, for conduct proscribed by that provision of the Code. We allowed an *839appeal to this court from the order of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals of March 27, 1970, denying the relief sought.
