Following a jury trial, Jose David Salinas was convicted of trafficking in marijuana (OCGA § 16-13-31 (c)), possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (OCGA § 16-13-30 (j) (1)), and possession of marijuana (OCGA § 16-13-30 (a)). Salinas filed a motion for new trial, which the trial court denied. On appeal, Salinas contends that the trial court erred in allowing the law enforcement officers to testify as experts in the identification of marijuana.
