Justice FLAHERTY, for the Court.

The plaintiff, Pleasant Management, LLC, appeals from a Superior Court judgment granting a motion to vacate a default decree entered against Maria Carrasco and her husband, Jose Ortega (collectively defendants), that foreclosed the defendants’ right to redeem their property that the plaintiff purchased at a tax sale. The judgment also established a redemption of $4,371 for the defendants, awarded the plaintiff $1,000 in attorneys’ fees, and ordered the plaintiff to execute a deed to the property conveying it back to the defendants.
