An information was filed in the Circuit Court of Chariton County, Missouri, on January 18, 1921, in which defendant was charged with assault with intent to rape Ruth White in said county, on the ____ day of December, 1920. The case was tried before a jury on February 10, 1921, and the following verdict returned:

"We, the jury, find the defendant guilty as charged in the information and assess his punishment at a term of two years in the State Penitentiary.
"GEORGE M. DEWEY, Foreman."
