Fletcher, Justice.

The defendant, Arthur James Peters, was convicted of the felony murder of nine-year-old Tonya Holsey while in the commission of an aggravated assault and sentenced to life imprisonment. He was also convicted of the offenses of cruelty to child, child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, and concealing the death of another, for which he was sentenced to terms of years.
