Claimant was a licensed private investigator who specialized in "deprogramming” religious cultists. He was hired by the parents of Anthony Colombrito with the hope that he would be able to deprogram their son who had become a member of the Unification Church (hereinafter the Church). On August 14, 1979, claimant, his assistant, Anthony and his parents were at claimant’s farmhouse in Ulster County.
