Bailey, J.:

This is an appeal from a judgment of the county court of Cook county, confirming a special assessment levied by the city of Chicago upon certain lands of the appellants for the purpose of constructing a certain sewer, and the only question presented by the record is as to the validity of the ordinance under which the assessment was made. The objections interposed to the ordinance are, first, that it fails to show that the location of the proposed improvement is within the city and within the jurisdiction of the city council; and second, that the locality of the proposed improvement…
