James E. Blew, the appellant, brought this suit in the municipal court of Chicago against Ellsworth M. Board and Charles B. Hull, the appellees, and others, and filed the following statement of his claim:

“Plaintiff’s claim is for the principal of and interest on two several promissory notes of which plaintiff is the owner and holder and copies of which are hereto attached, said notes purporting to have been executed by the United Publishing Company, a pretended corporation, but plaintiff avers and charges the fact to be that said corporation had not at the time of the execution of said notes…
