The plaintiff Esso Standard Oil Company had an option to purchase property at *508the corner of South Quaker Lane and Crocker Avenue in West Hartford. The property was owned by the plaintiff Giuseppe Eossano. In November, 1959, the plaintiffs applied to the defendant, pursuant to General Statutes § 14-321, for the approval of the location for a gasoline station.
