Defendant Michael Sova appeals as of right an order of the circuit court denying his motion to set aside a default judgment for plaintiffs under MCR 2.612(C)(1)(f). We reverse.

The default judgment was entered after defendant 1 failed to present any evidence at trial to rebut testimony by plaintiffs that defendant had violated a restrictive covenant on his property. At the beginning of trial, defendant’s attorney, Stephen Morgan, asked to withdraw as counsel because he had not talked with defendants in the last three years.
