While I agree that under governing extradition principles the court has no choice but to affirm the denial of habeas corpus relief, I write separately with respect to a troubling aspect of the case: assurances, referred to in the Appellate Division memorandum adopted as the decision of this court, made by Mississippi officials to Governor Cuomo prior to his ordering the extradition of Jarvious Cotton.
