The matters before the Court are the Debtor’s request seeking confirmation of a chapter 13 plan and the chapter 13 Trustee’s objection to the Debtor’s claimed homestead exemption. The Court conducted a hearing on February 21, 2008 at which the chapter 13 Trustee appeared through counsel, Janci M. Lawes, and the Debtor appeared with counsel, Lewis P. Adams. The Court directed the parties to submit additional briefing on the issue of whether the Debtor was entitled to claim a homestead exemption on proceeds from the sale of his home. The…
