On June 5, 1975, Appellant, by jury, was convicted of first degree robbery with sentence affixed at fifty eight years. Upon motion, sentence was reduced to forty years. Appellant’s conviction was affirmed on direct appeal, State v. Powell, 542 S.W.2d 588 (Mo.App.1976), and reference to that decision makes recitation of the facts herein unnecessary, except where they relate to Appellant’s election to represent himself.
