PHIPPS, Presiding Judge.

Lucio Flores, Fedrico Lopez, and Agustin Garcia-Maldonada were tried together on drug and weapons charges. The jury found Flores and Lopez guilty of trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and they appealed from those convictions. Flores and Lopez contend the trial court erred by denying their motions for directed verdicts of acquittal based on the insufficiency of the evidence, by not providing proper notice of arraignment and never formally arraigning them, and by not severing their trials from Garcia-Maldonada’s…
