Respondent, J.P.J., a minor, was adjudicated delinquent by the circuit court of Du Page County and committed to the Department of Corrections, Juvenile Division. On appeal, respondent contends that (1) the finding of delinquency and the order of commitment are void because (a) the State failed to make proper inquiry as to the whereabouts of respondent’s father, and (b) the State failed to give proper notice to respondent’s father, and (2) the trial court’s exclusion of evidence relevant to the credibility and weight to be given the respondent’s confession denied respondent a fair adjudicatory…
