Following the termination of her employment by defendant Federated Department Stores, Inc. (hereinafter defendant) for allegedly falsifying her time records, plaintiff commenced this action asserting, inter alia, causes of action for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and reckless infliction of emotional distress.
