¶ 1. Willie James Thomas pled guilty to two counts of sale of cocaine. He filed a motion for post-conviction relief (PCR), arguing (1) that the plea was involuntary because he was misinformed by counsel about his parole eligibility and (2) that he received ineffective assistance due to his counsel's erroneous advice, failure to investigate, and failure to file an appeal from the conviction.
