This is a criminal case in which appellant, Kimberly Lattice Miles, was charged with second-degree murder in the starvation death of one of her children. The jury found her guilty of manslaughter but could not agree on a sentence. Over a year later, the trial court sentenced her to three years’ imprisonment in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
