OPINION & ORDER
NORGLE, District Judge.
Before the court is Defendant Miriam Santos’ Motion for Release Pending Appeal. For the following reasons, the court denies Defendant’s motion.
I. INTRODUCTION
Defendant is the former Treasurer of the City of Chicago, which is a position that is responsible for the oversight of approximately $2.5 billion' in city funds.
