A Winnebago County jury found defendant, Benjamin D. Brady, guilty of drag racing (625 ILCS 5/11 — 504 (West 2002)) and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving the death of a person (625 ILCS 5/11 — 401(b) (West 2002)). Thereafter, the trial court sentenced defendant to a term of conditional discharge.
