On June 27, 1938, the County Treasurer of Cambria County sold to the County Commissioners for non-payment of taxes the coal underlying fourteen contiguous tracts of land assessed in the name of Samuel Heilner. .Throughout the years these tracts of coal land had been assessed as separate units, each tract having been given its own valuation and property number, and taxes were levied and collected on each tract individually.
