R. C. Gully, sometimes known as C. R. Bridges, was placed upon trial charged with the offense of bigamy, the indictment charging that on November 7,1901, the accused married one Bessie Shingler, his lawful wife, Annie Bridges, being then in life, which fact was known to him.
