May a Family Court Judge grant immunity from prosecution to a juvenile witness in a delinquency proceeding when requested to do so by the Corporation Counsel? This question raises important issues concerning the applicability of the Criminal Procedure Law immunity provisions to Family Court proceedings, as well as related constitutional and policy considerations affecting the Family Court’s powers in relation to immunity grants.
