This case comes before me on two related motions. Riceland seeks dismissal of the case on the grounds that the court lacks subject-matter jurisdiction, because CAFA’s 100-plaintiff threshold has not been met. Plaintiffs seek leave to amend their complaint to substitute named plaintiffs and add two claims by Trustees on behalf of the common benefit trust fund that I ordered established to compensate those who had provided legal services as part of the genetically modified rice litigation.
