The appellant, Donnell McGee, was convicted of the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, a violation of §13A-12-211, Code of Alabama 1975. The appellant was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment, which was enhanced by an additional five years' imprisonment because the sale occurred within three miles of a school. § 13A-12-250, Code of Alabama 1975.
