The appellants, Velona Phillips, as widow, and as next friend to Clifford, Venita,- Eual, Hubert and Quindora Phillips, minors, and Carrie Phillips, of lawful age, the children and heirs at law of Carl Phillips, deceased, sued Coy Turney for damages, alleging that they were wholly dependent upon the said Carl Phillips for support and that he contributed to them the proceeds of his labor; that Carrie Phillips, although an adult at the time her father was killed, was going to school at his expense and was dependent upon him and had his promise for assistance to obtain an education; that by…
