“Prior to 1934, plaintiffs were the owners of the premises at 147 Birch Street, Winnetka, Illinois, which premises were improved by a dwelling. Said premises were owned by plaintiffs, subject to a first mortgage owned by the Chicago Title & Trust Company, as Trustee for an Estate. In 1934 plaintiffs were in arrears in the payment of general taxes on said property and of interest on said first mortgage.
