Nader, Judge.

For whatever reason, defendant-appellant, Danita York, decided to shoot one of her horses on August 1, 1996. 1 She took a small caliber pistol and led the horse into a field visible to the rest of the neighborhood, where she attempted to kill the animal by shooting it in the head. Neighbors heard the gunshots, saw what appellant was doing, and called the Madison Township police.
