In Case No. 23,661 S.D. (here numbered on appeal 14,599), the defendant was convicted on plea of guilty in the District Court of the Southern District of California, Southern Division, before Hon. Jacob Weinberger, on March 5, 1954, of the crime of transporting aliens charged in four counts as a violation of 8 U.S.C.A. § 1324(a) (2). Judgment was entered on that day. He was sentenced’ to ten months imprisonment and to pay a fine of $350 on count one. This term of imprisonment was suspended and he was placed upon probation for five years upon condition that he…
