Johnson, J.:

Jerry W. Trussell appeals his convictions for aiding and abetting first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Combined in his first issue, Trussell asserts that the evidence was insufficient to support the verdict and that the district court should have given a self-defense jury instruction. Secondly, Trussell argues that the district court erred in refusing to suppress his statements to law enforcement.
