Defendant is a water company duly organized under the laws of Pennsylvania; in order to secure a supply of water for the City of Johnstown, it located a reservoir and proceeded to obtain the required land, in all about one thousand acres; at the time, the properties necessary to the contemplated improvement were held by 34 different owners, and, in most part, they were taken over by purchase; all save three of these purchases were consummated by the defendant in course of the condemnation of the respective pieces of land, and all of them were made subsequent…
