In this tobacco case, jurors returned an almost $15 million verdict for compensatory damages against R. J. Reynolds (“RJR”), followed thereafter by a $20 million award for punitive damages. RJR raises a number of issues, all of which we affirm without discussion, except its claim regarding a special jury instruction. requested by counsel for Colette S.
