Plaintiffs-appellants Robert and Agnes Boit (“Boits”) filed a product liability complaint against appellee-defendant Gar-Tec Products, Inc. (“Gar-Tec”), an Indiana corporation, in November of 1990. Gar-Tee subsequently removed the action to the United States District Court for the District of Maine.. On March 1, 1991, Gar-Tec moved to dismiss the complaint against it for lack of in personam jurisdiction.
