This was an action of ejectment commenced by Richard .Jones in the Circuit Court for Duval county and referred to a.referee for trial. The plea was not guilty. .

Plaintiff to prove his title offered a deed from Daniel C. Larey to Henry Gordon, dated 20th October, 1868, duly executed and recorded during the same month. Plaintiff next offered in evidence a decree of the Circuit Court for Duval- county in chancery rendered April 1,1881, in a suit to foreclose a mortgage executed by Henry Gordon and his wife to Richard Jones, in which Jones was…
